Webbook comes with optical disc drive

Most netbooks that we know of lack an optical disc drive for obvious reasons, but the Webbook will come with a built-in CD/DVD drive - trust the folks in China to come up with something like this. Tucked nicely in no man’s land, the Webbook will probably run on Linux or Windows XP, where it will feature other similar netbook specifications ranging from its Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and a 10.1″ display at 1,024 x 600 resolution.

Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 unboxed

Sharp’s NetWalker PC-Z1 has just been unboxed, and it would be interesting to see which party would pick up this device considering it comes with a paltry 5″ display alongside a full QWERTY keyboard. When posed beside a can of Coke, it looks absolutely small, so good luck trying to get your fingers used to its tiny keyboard. Apparently it will run on Ubuntu Linux, and does skirt the line between a super small netbook and a Mobile Internet Device.

Still, if you want to fool the less informed among your peers, the VAIC TT will be powered by an Intel Aton N270 1.6GHz processor, featuring a 12.1″ display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, 1GB RAM, 160GB ROM, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity alongside optional Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. After conversion, it ought to retail for $295 thereabouts, making it pretty standard

Verizon looks set to unveil a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone of their own that doesn’t come with a QWERTY keyboard, in the guise of the HTC Imagio XV6975. Capable of being used worldwide, this will be the first Verizon smartphone which will support VCast MobileTV that runs on the Qualcomm MediaFLO network. Apart from that, it will also feature a 5-megapixel autofocus camera without flash, a 3.6″ WVGA display, a 3.5mm headset jack, a microSD memory card slot, a 528MHz processor, Wi-Fi connectivity and HTC’s very own TouchFLO 3D user interface

I like to have a few essential tools with me at all times: my Swiss Army knife, a keychain LED flashlight, a pocket notebook and a pen for scribbling notes whenever inspiration strikes. I’d searched a long time for a pen that was small enough to carry around in my pocket, yet comfortable to write with and reliable enough to work every time I needed it
